Massive changes to DL Skyclub access - any risk to AA travelers down the road?

Delta has announced some massive changes related to access to the Sky Clubs:

#1 Only DL mid tier/upper tier FFs can buy a membership (membership proper (not CC access)) and the annual fee is being significantly increased.
#2 Skyclub members flying on BE fares no longer have access to the Skyclub unless they have an eligible Amex card that allows access or a purchased club membership
#3 DL mid tier elites no longer have access to Skyclub when flying internationally when flying in coach unless they have an Amex

I have heard reports that the Skyclub access situation has become intolerable - thanks largely to families and the propagation of DL/Amex cards.

Have rarely seen reports for Admirals Club locations (save for CLT during the C/D club renovation).

I'm going to assume that we're on safe ground here? I assume?
