Row 6 and 17 are two different service levels nowadays. As far as leg room, they are comparable. If you want to be the first one out in a plane crash, then by all means 17. And btw, the 737-800 I was on yesterday in row 3, PC started with 6. I believe AS is trying to standardize the seating rows across the board. But it's a personal decision. I like free booze so I'll take PC most days unless it's a middle.
