You’re not trying to get 2 welcome gifts. You’re trying to get 2 people in the lounge hassle free. Most hotels probably wouldn’t say anything, but I think it was Sheraton in HKG that would not allow 2 guests in lounge if there was only 1 on reservation. That’s when I got in the habit of putting 2 on reservation at all times except if it costs more (Japan).

I do remember getting 2 welcome muffins once, and 2 drink vouchers another time.
