The LAX buses don't get "as stuck" as other vehicles. However, they are still in traffic to get into the bus lane in the horseshoe.
Two weeks ago (the Friday before Thanksgiving), we parked at the economy lot and took the bus to TBIT. It was still quite a slog as we basically started a slow crawl from the bridge. All the lanes entering the horseshoe merge and the bus lane is impeded by the overall, slow traffic flow. It doesn't speed up until it gets through that bottleneck and into the bus lane.
