Terminals are not connected, like say SFO are. You need to take the air train to go from t2/4 to t7.

Clear was open for maybe a month, then BA announced their move to T8 and they never reopened.

Security ever since BA announced their move has been an abject mess; it used to be super fast with multiple lanes and a non existent precheck line to everyone jumbled into one line, albeit if you have precheck you don’t take your shoes off etc.

Give yourself 30 minutes + waiting for screening regardless of pre check/clear status at minimum to these days
