Okay, not BA - but that's only because BA couldn't get me to CDG early enough to connect onto another flight (the return is BA however!).
First time I've really noticed the Aurora Borealis - flight was AA44 JFK to CDG and took a rather unusually northern route for an eastbound flight - coming close to the southern tip of Greenland. I usually sit on the RHS - so wouldn't see them normally.
Meanwhile, taking advantage of having to over fly the UK - at night, I made sure I had a window seat - and kept an eye on the forecast. Thankfully, mostly clear skies allowed some good nighttime photos (mostly 8000ASA with about 1/15th sec at f1.8, 50mm lens).. (It's always amazing how far you can see cities at night - 150-200 miles).
First, Belfast:
Liverpool (a bit of cloud over Birkenhead):
M6 Spaghetti Junction and north Birmingham:
London the large dark rectangle just below/left of centre in Hyde Park
Heathrow Airport (interesting road lighting - M4 vs M25)
And not to leave out Gatwick:
