Just got back from Ritz Carlton guys,
ask me anything about the property or my experience. This forum was a great help when i was planning my trip and i shall try to return to the community as much as possible.
My feedback to the property was
" Travelling always has an objective. You travel to explore, relax or celebrate. When I travel to explore a location, I spend little to no time in my hotel and all I expect from the hotel is comfortable night sleep and prompt service. However, when you travel to a private island in a place like Maldives, you are completely dependent on the resort you are staying with. In such travels, everything about the resort matters and comes under a microscope. The amount of time you spend in the room, the amount of time you engage with the staff, your dining experiences, your interaction with other guests, the facilities provided throughout the resort to the activities you can indulge in.
Given my opinion on travelling to Maldives mentioned above, I personally believe the Ritz-Carlton Maldives lived up to my expectations, even surpassed them on several occasions.
For starters, the house keeping is super-efficient. Every time I walked back into the room, it had that same glow which I experienced the very first time I walked into it. I am no expert in architecture, but this was one of the most beautiful properties I have personally every visited. The food in all the restaurants was authentic, fresh and succulent. The list of things available to do in the property was huge. Everyone was super welcoming and a pleasure to talk with. I cannot lay enough stress on how courteous everyone was. Our Aris Meeha, Rayaa was the backbone of how splendid our trip was, coordinating everything in the background ensuring we had no difficulty. The pampering and hospitality have left us a little spoilt honestly. I am all praises for the property, for the experience and, above all, for all the ladies and gentlemen of Ritz Carlton Maldives.
I do however feel my experience could have been a little smoother, if communications regarding the benefits for elite members was a little clearer, something I was assured by the management will be addressed, and I wish I had access to information regarding all the 'activities available at the island' beforehand. I do feel as if I would have liked to indulge in a few more water sports if I had planned them into my itinerary.
While I will highly recommend this property to anyone planning to travel to Maldives, the world is huge, and I have much to see and learn. I may not get to revisit Ritz Carlton Maldives in the near future; however, my experience overall was so positive that I will always give preference to a Ritz Carlton property wherever I travel to and hopefully I shall live long enough to someday revisit the property with our children and show them where we spent what was indeed our dream honeymoon. "
This should sum up my trip decently.
