This will be a shorter review as I missed breakfast due to leaving for the airport early in the morning (which meant that I picked points as my welcome gift). Regardless, I preferred this property far more than the similarly-designed Pantheon Iconic as it was a better hotel and significantly cheaper. Frankly, the location didn't bother me at all - a bit more walking in Rome is not the worst thing. Here are my pros, cons, and photos:
Pros:
- Upgraded to a Deluxe King which ended up being a corner room (I had seen a Junior Suite upgrade show up at some point, but the property ended up as sold out except for 1 room by the time of check-in)
- View was pretty - nice surroundings
- The bed was not uncomfortable - decent mattress (seemed like two twin pushed tightly together), the two small pillows were plush, but the covers needed to be thicker
- Shower pressure was really good (similar shower head to Montreal Marriott Chateau Champlain)
- Italian pastries left in my room
- Internet TV OS did have YouTube
- Service was quite friendly - personable
- Offered late checkout proactively, which I did not need
- Welcome gift of prosecco offered at the bar
- Nice Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries
Cons:
- Bed covers need to be thicker (though, I did see a couple of extra blankets in the room)
- Wi-Fi performance could be improved
- There seemed to be a balcony, but no way to open the window to reach it (or I'm just stupid)
Overall, I would recommend this property, especially as it is much cheaper than other options.
