Do you all think I should stick with 4 nights or shorten the stay to 3 nights? On the one hand, points reservations at Ventana in July are tough to come by. I've never been to the property before. On the other hand, I have been to Big Sur, and there's not *that* much to do. The longest I have ever stayed in Big Sur is 2 nights.
i’d do a one night stop on the way up (Los Olivos, SLO, Cambria, or Paso Robles), then 3 nights with an early checkin at Big Sur, and beeline boring drive home, w/ BBQ takout in the car (sausage sucks), cutting over to the 5 from Paso, and a late BBQ sandwich in LA before bed. be sure to check the launch schedule from Vandenberg too.
