Perhaps I missed this, but:

(a) My 8 eVIPs were deposited in my account within 2 days of my EXP-qualifying flight on December 2.

(b) I was told that they were good through February 2006 (or for nearly 15 months).

Seems different from what I've read here earlier on this topic.
