Maybe the game wasn't such a bad idea. It certainly wasn't in my case.

I have three kids, of whom two had SkyMiles accounts this morning (the older two). I never signed up my youngest child, now age 5, for a SkyMiles number because he, like my wife, only flies on my award tickets.

Today I signed him up, let him press the spin button and answered the questions correctly on his behalf. He now has 10,000 miles, which gives me an incentive to take all three of the kids on a mileage run within the next three years before today's 10,000 miles expire.

Hmmmm...
