UA Changed My Seat on Long Haul Polaris Flight
Hi Folks:
Just coming here to vent. I've booked a long haul flight to Asia from Newark on a 787-9 back in August and specifically selected seat 1A for the flight because it has a larger footwell.
My flight is tomorrow.
All was fine until waking up today and suddenly, without notice, I realized the app is showing my seat has been changed to 12A. Which isn't nearly as good as it is a) the last row and b) the angled window seat closer to the aisle.
I'm trying to not be a diva and know that seats "aren't guaranteed." But I don't understand how my seat can just be changed on an expensive business class fare given I'm a 1K and have had this booked for months.
I thought perhaps crew rest, except the 787 has a dedicated crew rest area.
Any thoughts on how I can get it back? Or is what is done done?
