Very informative thread! I have a few questions as a noob in trying to understand upgrade priority:
My spouse and I purchased W fare in hopes of scoring PP upgrades on our route, but it seems like the recent travel resurgence has made it very very hard to upgrade on economy fare.
I understand Premium Plus customers no matter the elite status will be ahead of us. The question I have is what if, say, customers of lower elite status but with higher economy fare class chooses to upgrade. Where does that stand? Does fare class matter more or does status matter more?
