Flew AC880 YYZ-ZRH last night. Forgot what a difference it makes to get a "plated" meal versus the casseroles with everything cooked together. I had the pork cheek which has not received great reviews here. The pork itself was nothing to write home about but the vegetables were cooked perfectly - given that the dish contains potatoes, carrots and asparagus, that would be a tall order to achieve when cooked all together and I'm sure people had been getting mushy asparagus.
Interestingly, champagne (not Prosecco) was served as the PDB.
Are you saying that you did get a plated meal? I thought they had not restarted that part of the service yet ....
Agree that it makes a huge difference ....
