Mrs Hogtowner will be spending Boxing Week in her native England and will take advantage of her time there to meet a couple of elderly aunts and get some blanks in the family tree filled in.

I thought I would get her a digital voice recorder (I guess, called a dictaphone in the "old" days) as a Christmas present, so that she doesn't have to write copious notes when she is talking to the old dears.

In doing some preliminary research I've found that DVRs can go from $40 to over $200. Does an FTer have any recommendations they could pass on? Do any of you use one in your work?
