I had a similar situation as you know with our recent flights involving HAJ. The flights simply vanished sometime in February 2022 (we were booked in October, so a long way ahead of time) and I realized they had actually moved them all by 2 days (they only flew twice a week). I was able to confirm cancellation by calling but didn't do anything at first, then an email informing me about the flights being cancelled (and not "suggesting a change" like some of them do with their "accept changes" button) arrived about 1 month or so later!
Anyway as you know I was not only able to move the flight dates but also change one of them from HAJ to DUS, which is likely a further distance that between EID and AMS.
So I see nor reason at all why you shouldn't be allowed to change to AMS, even they only change days flying and don't cancel the service completely.
I wouldn't get anxious at all about it, just keep an eye on the situation and wait a few weeks for that email, then call to ask to keep the tickets, but change the airport.
