I booked a tix via gotogate (because that is the only option available from google flight as it has multiple overnight layover.)
LHR ATH VIE (overnight) ATH (overnight) IST for 209 USD in July 2021. it is the cheapest fare that I could get from LHR at that time.
It turns out to be a flex fare and I was surprised how much miles I earned (over 3000 miles).
i use ita to search for the fare before using google flight to book. so i know it was P + U fare all along. How would one know if it is light vs flex if booking via OTA?
I think nearly impossible. So far my OTA bookings were always UTP class and light.
