Had an unusual thing happen tonight. Decided to use my $15 credit this month at a restaurant by my house on a pickup. Total was $24 and there was a $10 of $20 or more order promo credit so net total was $14 but was only given $8.98 for the AmEx credit (my wallet is showing I still have $6.02 of the AmEx credit available) and was charged $5.02 on my credit card.
I started a chat with someone on Uber (I hate you can't just email them) and waited ten minutes to get connected and when I explained the situation I was told to hold while he looked into and he came back five minutes later and said it needed to be handled by a specialist and they would email me shortly.
I thought maybe the credit had something to do with it, but they should be upfront that the credit amount can't be used. I would have kept the order at $14 had I known, I upsized a size and added a piece of carrot cake since I figured it would be free and wouldn't have if I would have known I was being charged for it. But still makes no sense seeing the credit was for $10 and I was only charged $5.02
