Aeroplan does have a new sign in where you can use your account number and your last name---I wonder if that has made the system go wonky again. I have come across the new sign in page when I've been in the middle of trying to do something and at times I have had to do this half a dozen times and then I get the sign in page that asks for my account number and password.
It seems like Aeroplan does everything to make it harder--just when you think you have it figured out, they go and change something. I wonder if any of their IT people actually use the system they've invented.

I tried calling again, but got stonewalled with "it's just Air Canada procedure and we can't expedite the time it takes to whitelist your account".

Great job, AC. Block the customer's account for saving up the points to use during a sale instead of blowing the points all the time.
