I was "upgraded" to Comfort+ on the 3 of the 4 legs and am running into an issue where on the 4th leg it keeps putting me into a middle C+ seat. I had the same issue traveling with my wife (who is silver elite). We did not request an upgrade on one leg of our flight but were randomly upgraded from main cabin to C+, taking us from a 2 across seat to a 3 across C+ row - but I was on the aisle in one row and she was in a middle seat in another row. After multiple attempts at manually placing us back in our original seats, Delta kept "upgrading" us back to the undesirable seats. Delta helpline couldn't fix it, supervisor couldn't fix it, but 30 minutes later someone was able to do it because we're back in our original seats now. This flight isn't for another month so I luckily was checking our reservations, otherwise I'm sure our original seats would have been gone.
I never request C+ upgrades for this very reason, so I'm not sure what triggered this, but from reading the other posts it's clear this isn't an isolated problem.
