Anyhow, the booking did update to being allowed two checked bags. Still no free advance seat selection, but both flights are short, so I don't really care.

Yes, upthread I was advised not to purchase a Go Light fare in order to use the *G benefit. But in this case, a Go Light fare was not offered. I suppose there may be some assumption that everyone needs a checked bag of warm clothing in TOS in January!
