Just returned from a tommie/Thompson 3-night stay. Rooms at the tommie were $156+tax on a Saturday, so why not check off an Explorer Brand for a night?
While I was upgraded to a "deluxe king", I had arrived at 11 am and wanted a room early, so I declined it for a corner king. It was great - all windows and views. I'm not sure how claustrophobic the regular rooms are. The corner room was tiny, but super efficient. The only complaint was that the SO was not a fan of the jail-cell toilet-in-the-shower setup.
3 of the 4 restaurants/bars were great, but the coffee bar was a waste of space. The free coffee listed in the "resort fee" is no longer free, and the beer/wine selection was pretty poor yet expensive.
