I agree that you should probably just head into town ahead of time. If you need to meet your party, then you should be able to get some pretty cheap eats/drinks at the airport.

A word of warning - a taxi to the city centre should be around Kc800 or so, but Prague taxis remain stubbornly untrustworthy. A common trick is to gently tap the meter adding manually as you go. The high denominations makes the meter tick quickly anyway, so it’s an easy scam.
To be fair, I had a recent taxi experience that wasn't so bad. Traffic was quite bad - the normal 25 minute drive to the center was doubled - and it was less than Kc1200. I thought that was reasonable, given that it cost the guy an hour's time.
