Can anyone advise on the easiest / quickest / cheapest way to earn 10 Tier Points with BA before 31st December? Or... the most interesting / creative way to do it (i.e. unusual aircraft on route, that sort of thing)?

I live about 40 minutes from Heathrow so that would be my preferred starting point.

I *think* any day return trip would do the trick (from what I understand), but I'd like to spend as little as possible and limit the risk of being stranded overnight at the mid-point of my journey.

My assumption is there isn't a clever workaround here and that I simply have to take a flight.
