The suite had some serious style over substance design issues. For example, the single power outlet near the master sink area is for shavers only. If you or your travel companion want to blow dry your hair, you’re gonna have a pretty bad time. The mirror area’s illumination also has much to be desired, making it quite difficult to do anything like styling your hair or putting on make up.

Possibly a regulatory issue in Singapore?
Many countries (UK for example) do not permit regular plug sockets within a certain distance (3m in the UK) of a bath and shower in a bathroom, domestic or otherwise. Shaver sockets because of their lower voltage are usually exempt or subject to a shorter minimum distance (0.6m on the UK). I guess that is why in many countries where a hairdryer is provided in a bathroom it tends to be hard wired.
