We stayed in the Bukit Bintang area, along Jalan Conlay at the Royale Chulan Hotel. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment, but we really like the location, very close to Pavilions & various transport links. The new MRT line opens next year, which will be opposite the hotel (Station Conlay).
