Upcoming rental in Italy.I’d like to be able to return the car without filling the tank. I know it will likely be more expensive than if I filled up the tank myself upon return but I’ll be in a hurry that day and don’t want to have to bother so I’ll pay the extra €€€.

There doesn’t seem to be a pre-pay fuel option in the Hertz website/app booking process. I don’t even know if fuel pre-pay is a thing in Italy. Does Italian Hertz locations have this option that I can purchase at pick-up?
