Thanks all for the replies, seems ScotteVests are quite popular. I've kind of given up on getting the laptop into one, but getting the GaN chargers, cables, power banks, Insta360 gear, drone batteries, Bluetooth speaker, etc. is definitely doable if necessary. I added up my weight, if I get a nit picky agent somewhere I can trim about 2.5-3kg reasonably with a vest.

I'm still looking at the ScotteVest but found another interesting one from the UK, AyeGear V26 Travel Vest for about 1/2 the price of ScotteVest's 26 pocket model. I'm hoping this is just an insurance policy anyway as I don't think I'm flying any airlines this trip that are known to be real sticklers, but you never know. TBH I only really care about going carry on only on certain parts of the trip. Transiting LHR for example (not sure they've really gotten straightened out yet), a short INT-INT connection in GRU on separate tickets, but would prefer to do carry on only the entire time if I can get away with it.

I found a YouTube review of the Hobotraveler.com Vest that would have been perfect but he's not making them anymore it seems.

I put a surface go, mouse, two phones, selfie stick, lots of cables, chargers, water bottle, and all kinds of small other items. I keep everything that is valuable in that jacket in the event of an emergency where I won't have access to my carry-on. I wear it the entire flight. I plan to purchase another one in a different color next year. Black is the best color overall.

I'm very much a fan of keeping passport in my pocket at all times on the plane and phone in hand in case of emergency, I also never remove my shoes until in the air and put them back on before landing, but don't know that any of these vests would be very comfortable to wear the entire flight, especially with that load you have or what I'd have. My only objective is to get past the scales if they are being used.
