Properties who do vouchers I think should have this option as it’s mutually beneficial. I say option because obviously the vast majority would rather have the breakfast, but for those who don’t or aren’t up early enough then there’s an option available.
I doubt that Hyatt hotels would go with such an option that would:
1. minimize “breakage” in benefit;
2. cost them with a direct bill for paying for points for people who would skip/miss the breakfast hours for whatever reason; and
3. increase the odds of the hotel being deprived of some additional breakfast sale revenue (due to higher proportion of such vouchers being used by those not given the vouchers by the hotel itself for use on the stay date itself) and make breakfast food/supplies planning more of a challenge for the hotel.
If I can’t use a voucher myself, I will sometimes offer it to someone staying the same night/day as me for them to use it. Sort of the same thing I have long been doing with my airline upgrade certs that were going unused.
The Globalist breakfast benefit being tweaked would probably not work out to my advantage, as hotel programs are more into cost-cutting than in laying out additional money at their expense.
