All My boarding passes have ticket/seat classes for the above flight have corresponding Letter as C/J for short haul and J for the Long hauls, Should this not have stayed the same Letter for the WTP seats???? As I have followed these letters when calculating my TP for these flights….on their Flight Calculator. Plus have been reading and so far not found anywhere where is states no TP for the Upgrade. If anyone knows of this I would appreciate a link to it.
No, the travel class is not the same as the booking class. Presumable you are 5TPs off and technically also the TPs you were incorrectly awarded that BA could remove if you push this. One does wonder if you can’t get an economy flight on OW to anywhere at all (with the minor not likely flights that earn 0 with some OW partners).
For future, if you want to know you’ll get the TPs but want to reduce the cost with Avios, part-pay is your only option but the Avios cost is higher generally.
