BA's responsibility as marketing carrier (Finnair strike & cancellations)

Currently stuck in Helsinki after AY cancelled yesterday's BA (marketed) flight. Finnair's proactively shunted me onto an AY flight number for a service this evening. BA have been silent, and on the app seemed unaware of anything untoward.

No drama from me, just puzzled which of the code-share partners I should contact for a stab at getting an extra night's hotel cost back. Logic suggests BA, but AY have handled things pretty well.

I'm in the happy position of not needing the TPs, and the avios involved are pretty trivial, especially now the flight is AY-numbered. But I'm bloody-minded enough to seek my original entititlement of goodies from the original, cancelled BA-marketed flight. Will that fly ?
