I kind of agree there.
one time i had to replace a lost passport the day before I had to fly. i as in miami getting an expedited replacement and they said my picture was a little bit off, and that I'd had to stick around for a bit incase they wanted a new one. I went to the marriott across the street and went to the front desk. I showed them my status, said I hadnt slept the night before, and explained my situation. They let me use their executive lounge without being a guest of the hotel. you can be damn skippy sure any time I ever had to be anywhere near miami I was staying at that property from there on out.

Some additional benefits Marriott could (should?) provide to Ambassadors:
- 100% points bonus
- Additional choice benefit
- SNAs confirmable at booking
- United Gold status
none of these cost the property anything

remember in the context of this discussion we are talking about perks that marriot offers guests that cost the PROPERTY - not marriot.
