Visting South Padre Island for Christmas break. Looking for hotel suggestions.
Planning to drive to South Padro Island during Christmas - New year break. We will be driving from DFW. Only Hilton garden inn hotel is in south Pedro island. Rest of them are 30 miles off from island. Is it worth paying more for Hotel in Island. Also, we have FWD SUV. As long as we stick to paved ways, we should be good right? There are lot of 4WD discussions for visiting places in Padro island. We recently purchased FWD SUV. We should have purchased one with AWD.
