Can confirm from my experience the FAs don't care a bit once you're on plane.

Heck, I even swapped once I was already boarded and a F pax no showed/misconnected. FA (or maybe even GA) came back to tell me I received last upgrade. Gave it to my daughter sitting next to me as a treat for trip to college.
