I have an issue with a couple of (possibly rumors) regarding my Amex Aspire. Up for renewal next month, not sure I want to keep it for a couple of reasons (rumors).

Heard (somewhere, possibly not true) that they would change one of the credits (I think airline) to so much per month, rather than the full $250 annually. I'm pretty sure the Marriott card already does this.

If they make this change after I've renewed, I no longer want the card, and the other rumor I've heard is that Amex no longer pro-rates the AF if you cancel say, mid year. Don't want to pay $450, then have them make the airline credit change, then have no recourse to get any of the AF back.

I also have no plans at all to stay at a resort next year. But we might. But if we don't, I'm not one to do "tricks" to get the credit, so I'm screwed there, too.

Well, putting it all down on paper sure makes it sound like I should NOT be renewing my Aspire.
