Tenjin's cocktail "menu" (three options) was a novelty on the first night, fine on the second and, had we gone for drinks any subsequent nights...we didn't.

As for the 10k Yen kaiseki at Senjyukaku, the presentation and service were great. Very gracious service, especially because they had to adjust to my partner being a pescatarian (the front desk noted this when making the reservation for us). The food, however, seemed all pre-prepared and not fresh. FYI, they ask you to select white or radish rice (highly recommended!). Both are brought to the table in a rather large container that they scoop the rice from and then leave at the table. It seems it is meant to be taken home, which is odd for a culture that is about just-enough.
