I was denied points on an order I placed with Indigo books and after months of waiting I finally got a reply from my request to say that the item I ordered (a book) was not eligible for points. When I asked for proof of this rule, I asked them to send me something that showed this as I couldn't see anything on Indigo's page that proved their point. I was sent a quote back from the book publisher/distributor, I think, that said absolutely nothing about my issue, just some internal messaging. I have sent in at least another 4 requests and now they just ignore me, basically said rather rudely, "you aren't getting your points"--I would think if you are on a site that sells mainly books, then an order for a book would be eligible. I am still fighting this issue.

Aeroplan uses every excuse not to give you your points and hope that after 4 or 5 months you will just forget it. Some of the employees I have emailed to are so new that they don't even know how the system works and they claim your order will be posted within a few days but that is not true, especially for orders placed late 2021 and for most of this year.

I have piles of paper keeping track of all of my orders (I have placed over 170 orders in the last year) and I would love to be able to get my points before the end of this year. AE is still in a mess from Nov 2020 (I lost Status points because they had 2 different systems the old one and the new one, which didn't work with one another and if your order was in the old system, it didn't get transfered to the new system unless you complained. Now they have an Order History list as well as an Activity list (which shows bonus points earned) but they don't match up with each other so it's impossible to check on points earned. And if they do post your points they don't post them under the date you placed the order, they put them under the date they post them--I guess they don't really want to show you how far behind they are. Trouble is though, that it's almost impossible to find anything and now they have decided to change their posting dates back to the order date. So an order I placed back in 2021 has the points posted in Oct 2022 and then a month or so later they repost and the points are now in 2021.

And don't you just love it when you are in the middle of placeing an order you are timed out but you can't tell that at the time and so don't know if the order registered so you can earn the points. You have to wait months and then file a missing points request when the points haven't shown up and then wait another month or so for an answer and then they tell you that you weren't on the site so you won't be getting any points.

I'm not sure if any of this helps but thought I would let you know that you aren't the only one waiting for legitimately earned points. Aeroplan now has a button on the eStore page so you can tell them about your experiences on the site and if you agree, they might get back to you to discuss your issues. Good luck.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. Doesn’t make me very optimistic. I see now they are advertising a 20x promo for Black Friday. A case of “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice………”
I hadn’t used the estore for a couple of years but had never had a problem before. I wish I had read this thread before the purchase.
