Crowne Plaza San Francisco Airport

Crowne Plaza San Francisco Airport
Burlingame, CA USA

This stay was in July for almost two weeks for Covid quarantine.

What is your Priority Club status? Platinum

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked "1 King Standard Refrigerator". I believe I was upgraded to "1 King Premium High Floor Refrigerator" facing the airport. Not sure what the difference was, aside from a quiet high floor.

How are the rooms? A little worn but nice enough. Some noise from the airport, especially from larger planes taking off, but not very noticeable with fan on.

How is the exec. lounge? Don't think this location has one.

What was good and what was bad?

Good:
  • Front desk made it easy enough to repeatedly extend my stay without needing to visit them in person
  • Room service breakfast was actually quite good
  • Quiet enough for an airport location and there is a nature trail along the bay across the street
Bad:
  • Would not drop off room service food without physically leaving the room to sign for it in the presence of an employee, so I had to rely on grocery deliveries to avoid infecting anyone
  • Had some parking charges even though I had no car. Only the manager could reverse the charges and he did not return call or email. Eventually I gave up.
  • Not really close to anything and not a great location to try to get into SF itself

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? My priority was being left alone to sleep and not interact with people while I recovered. For that purpose, it was just fine. It would also be good for an overnight near the airport. But not a good choice for visitors to SF itself.
