AA knocked off a wheel from our brand new Rimowa last spring, which I got recorded as damage with LH when we arrived in MUC. The agent gave me the Dolphi details and I asked if I could just go to Rimowa and get the damage fixed by them. She mentioned that Dolphi is the handling agent but if you confronted them with facts (the suitcase manufacturer took care of the damage here is the report & bill) dolphi would just pass on the charges and be done. Alternatively I could decline the use of the agent (Dolphi) and send in the report and repair costs along with the PIR info to custmoer relations. So I went to Rimowa in downtown MUC who replaced the wheel on the spot free of charge as the suitcase was still under warranty. 🤷‍♂️
