Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

Book 1 night with Classic room. Upgraded to Junior Suite, and the room was available for early check-in at 11:30am.

How are the rooms?

Spacious, with a separate deep bath tub and shower, and a loveseat in the center of the room. The view was the town hall, albeit blocked by the ongoing construction of the Metro.

How is the exec. lounge?

N/A - did not have access to the lounge. Breakfast was included in my rate, and presumably offered as Diamond amenity. Full European continental breakfast buffet was offered in the restaurant, with a number of egg dishes that can be ordered from the menu.

What was good and what was bad?

Good - Excellent location - pretty much all major city attractions are within 10 minute walk - just be aware of the hills. Gracious service by the staff, with civilized sit down check-in desks.

Bad - The only hiccup was that the key was not set up for late checkout. The construction outside is beyond the hotel's control. Like many older European properties, power plugs are hard to reach. Otherwise, it was a great stay.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

A definite YES. The central location and proximity to metro station was great. If you need a taxi, the Sao Bento train station taxi bank is right around the corner. Comfortable room and it was a great value.
