it is their first time to visit Paris. Any good suggestion? My mother will have a Plat and budget is not a big issue as I have enough points and good BRG skills.
If you feel that you have a good chance to get a room or a suite on the rue de Rivoli side (except for the lower floors), you might want to take advantage of the Westin while it still exists. It depends on what is more important to you and your family.
I started to search for an alternative to the Westin:
- I will not go back to the Renaissance Vendome (small rooms that can be noisy, and, IMO, poor management).
- The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe is a fair option.
- I also stayed at other properties, outside Marriott, and will probably consider them for future trips, after the Westin closes its doors.
When I was there last, in October, the sale had not been finalized, but the hotel will be sold to one party and another.
