You will be able to pool the points from both of the accounts you have open under your name. Just requires a phone call to Citi usually. Pretty painless.
That's not true, by converting you are not getting any bonus, so you can get a few TYP cards and get bonus on all of them, I tested it about 2 years ago, got 3 bonuses.
You can pool TYP with your wife. You need to request a form from Citi, fill it out, and send it to Citi, and they will pool your points.
