Thanks for your reply. I think I am confused because other posters have referred to the "Ambassador benefits only apply to IC Hotels" and in my mind an "IC Hotel" is any brand in the group but I think posters here are referring to the Intercontinental brand only?

I have received an e-mail from IHG inviting me to swap 40,000 points for Ambassador status but as I stay mainly at HIX, HI and CP brands the extra benefits for Intercontinental are not really applicable.

But if it still gets me Diamond status for 2023 then I'll go for it?
