You are correct. No passport control in FRA but you must re-clear security.

Arrivals from countries which are not in Schengen with the exception of some selected countries (e.g. US, Canada, Singapore, UK) have to re-clear security before a connecting flight. Some arrivals from the second group may have to re-clear security depending on the arrival gate.
