I've spent a lot of time in the NL last 2 years. My vote in Amsterdam would be the Ren, W, and then Marriott. The Ren buffet breakfast is much better than at the Marriott, and the W à la carte is very good. I don't use club lounges much, and cannot comment on either of the ones offered by the Ren and Marriott. The Ren room service is very prompt even during late hours, and service of the staff overall very friendly and helpful. Ren club rooms and above use full size Bulgari toiletries, current as of 2022 summer. Upgrades I've had at the Ren and W, and none at the Marriott. The W gives quite good upgrades, and has even upgraded me further, when I used SNAs, to their extreme wow suite. (This was late 2021) Personally, I prefer the location of the Ren or W. But I can see a first time visitor liking Marriott's proximity to all the Museums, Vondel Park, shopping.
In Rotterdam, the Marriott is my choice. Great breakfast, across the street from Rtm Centraal, and lots of food choices near by. Try to get a room with a view of the train station. Shopping is a short walk away. While Mainport and The Slaak may be a bit less "cookie-cutter", for me they were a bit out of the way.
The hidden gem in the Netherlands I think is The Hotel Nassau, in Breda. Great elite recognition. The Den, in 's-Hertogenbosch, has big modern rooms with good sized bathrooms. And good elite recognition.
Looking to stay at the Moxy Hague next month, as I have always avoided The Hague Marriott due to its location, just not where I need to be.
