If so, if you're always travelling together on the same reservation (PNR), there probably isn't really much of a benefit for both of you to have separate AF credit cards. (Keep in mind you can just have one and make the other spouse an Authorized User of the credit card so you can both physically have one to earn miles on)
Yes, the only reason is for baggage and group 5 boarding. I remember when you needed to earn miles or have a card for your miles not to expire. But, didn’t AA do away with needing to earn miles to keep miles from expiring?
