I have a spreadsheet on which I keep track of my Airline Miles/Hotel Points. I thought I had around 275K points (that's what my spreadsheet says). I looked today and I seem to have around 100K fewer Hilton Honor points than I expected.

I don't exactly remember when I last updated the Hilton Honors points. I did use points for a stay in a Hilton Hotel in September, so I must have updated it then. Prior to that, I stayed in a Hilton in March, but it was via a 3rd party booking site, so no points. I did not stay in a Hilton in 2021 or 2020.

I doubt that the points expired, because an expiry would have taken out all points, not just 100K (I think). In any case, Hilton has stayed points expiration until the end of the year. Finally, I have an Amex (no fee) Hilton credit card, which should stay expiration.

I looked at my activity on the Hilton site, and it shows all activity correctly for the last 12 months. However, it does not show the balance after each transaction, just the final balance. It does not show a debit for 100K points. I can't go back more than 12 months on the site.

It's possible I made a mistake when updating my spreadsheet last time, and I really had only 175K points., not 275K. But I did check some previous versions of the spreadsheet from my backups over the last 2 years, and they seem to show a balance more in line with a current 275K balance. I doubt I'd have made a mistake several times when updating the spreadsheet.

Would calling Hilton Honors support help? I assume they can look back more than one year, and find the actual balance at a past time? Any other idea what could have happened?

Is there any other way I can get the Honors balance at say the start of the year? I haven't really used the linked Amex card over the 15-16 months, but I did request copies of the pdf statements from last year at the Amex site. (I don't remember if the Amex statements contain points balance)
