Why would a GA be hellbent on making sure the green tag on my bag was given to me by them?

I picked up a green tag at a desk. Later on GA walks through the seating area and asks "Did I give you that tag?" I say no. She starts removing the tag from my bag and hands me another one from her pocket. What am I missing here?
