LM is really nothing to talk about in terms of rooms. LM smells old, both the corridors and rooms. I just paid $800 / 2 nights after 20% discount (I have cc that gives me 20% off at any hotel) for “view” Deluxe room on 1st floor. In fact I already pressed payment button for the last Fantastic room King bed which was coming at $1200 / 2 nights at W. However something went wrong, I guess someone has just snatched this last room while I was booking. Since the other rooms were more expensive I booked LM for 2 nights only because I checked in very late tonight and tomorrow I have some appointments, so won’t use the hotel or room much. Apart from old smell at LM, the room itself have seen better days. No walk in shower. Filled bathtub and couldn’t release the plug to drain the water. Old style shower head with terrible pressure. One water next to bed was open…. Maybe I am spoiled after 8 years living in Dubai but my villa in Dubai was more luxurious than room facilities at LM. The only thing LM has very good are the expansive grounds and shared facilities with Westin.

To clear up some questions, it’s not possible to use W pool being a guest at either LM or Westin, I asked.

Honestly can’t wait to check out and will book W which looks very good. If I would bring my wife to LM there wouldn’t be even 2nd night, we would check out immediately. W sounds like a sweet spot, you can use facilities of LM/Westin and staying in a high end room.
