I didn't notice anywhere close to an issue with crowding at the DFW Cap1 lounge, so at this point I'm not worried about that being an issue. That said, I don't go through there often and now actively avoid it because I seem to have a lot of issues with AA when flying through there. Priority Pass lounges can be crowded, but so far I've had decent luck with those. Haven't tried a Plaza Premium lounge yet.
For me, the whole kit of lounge access (Priority Pass, Cap1 Lounge, and Plaza Premium are included) has probably saved me upwards of $100 just in food/beverage, even if I assume I would've only bought something inexpensive from a fast food joint at the airport otherwise. However, I don't have any other cards that give free Priority Pass access (I do have the PenFed Pathfinder, but that's $32/visit/person,) so it's not a redundant benefit for me. If I had Priority Pass another way, the equation would look quite a bit different.
